On reflection, the teams were pretty even despite feeling like our shooting let the yellows stay in the game. I was pleased with my selection even though I think we may have broken a record for most balls hoofed over the fence in one game. Bren’s comical own goal doesn’t do the strike any justice but it got us off to a flyer. Nathan put us further ahead in between James trying to kick the leather off the ball and missing multiple tap in chances. My keeping was Pickford-esq and I pushed a ball into my own net after diving out of the way of it. Can’t remember who went next but Nick scored a decent header off a corner and Nath bagged a scrappy winner getting onto the knock down. 

The standard of football seems to be getting better week after week and another good pub turnout too.
