The captain's cup has begun. A trophy I have had in my sights since I was a young boy. But who was going to make it through the first round? Myself or Bren? I was confident in my team choice right until I realised that I was going to have to play in goal. Apart from the goal keepers both teams looked pretty even. Could last pick Richie pull off another exquisite performance? Only time would tell. 

The game started fairly slowly with both sides playing defensively. Yellows however started to press higher up the pitch and managed to bag the first goal of the game. I started to feel confident that we could keep a clean sheet and my place in the second round was safe. Some might say I was too confident (Jonny and Rich) as I played the ball through the middle to Neil who turned straight into the on coming Andy. Andy slotted the ball in the bottom corner making it 1 a piece. 

Jonny, Gary and Richie seemed determined to put us back in the lead and after numerous missed chance they were able to hit the back of the net 2-1.

You could literally see Graham's face change colour. Could his unbeaten run finally be over? He was fed up of the shambolic goalkeeping and kicked his own captain out of goal. This however didn't have the effect he was hoping for with Richie quickly scoring his second of the night. 

Then panic really started to set in. Could Richie actually be heading for a second MOTM in a row? Surely not! Thank God for Jonny's clinical finish to end the game 4-1. 

MOTM has to go to Jonny for his box to box running, goal and assist.
