A great turnout of players for the penultimate game of the season and a few spectators turning up to watch.

The whites started the game quick out of the blocks. We found ourselves pegged back to begin with, partly down to playing a heavily defensive formation which we changed after 10 minutes to try and get the ball out of our half.

However the whites continued to hold a high line and eventually got their first goal, when a long high ball out of defence by Neil, lofted over our last defender and found Richie who had drifted into space. He flicked it on to make it 1-0. I did get a hand to it, but I’m a shit keeper, so that doesn’t mean anything.

The game was end to end after the goal. Dave O and Ali going close for the Yellows and Andy Eyres continuing to miss sitters for the Whites.

At roughly the half way point the whites got their second. Now that Andy had sufficiently warmed up (missed a few more) he’d decided it was time to put one in. 2-0.

We switched ends and began to dominate the game a bit more. We had some great play down the right, with Ali getting to the byline and whipping the ball in on two or three occasions. One such occasion looked certain that the ball would end up in the back of the net, only to be intercepted by Paul’s weekly handball.

Game finished 2 - 0. Well done Richie!
