First pick of the year for me, having given up hope of waiting for Mark A, i was paired against Mike. 10vs9 so a good turnout and i went for first pick.

The game started off fairly slowly with both teams easing their way into the match, a few early chances for both sides never really tested the keepers (Geoff and Ken) until a quick break down the left for the whites, fed Richie in on the edge of the box, and early toe poke from Harry Kane bamboozled the keeper 1-0. 

The game remained 1-0 for a long period, in the meantime, unfortunately we lost Harvey to a seemingly serious injury, twisting his knee in the surface, which did seem particularly sticky and slow on the evening. Sportingly, the yellows rotated a player, to keep the game as 9vs8.

Soon the yellows started to apply the pressure, as losing one of our strongest players did upset the balance. Ken continued to make saves in goal, notably from Dave O with a swift volley. Soon it was 1-1, with Ross hitting home off the underside of the bar - only to have the slightest of touches off Harry Kane.

With around 5 minutes to go, yellows had a corner, which was cleared, unfortunately, this dropped to Mac, who unleashed a perfect volley into the top corner, again hitting the underside of the bar. If you are going to lose a game, losing to a goal like that, you simply have to take your hat off!

With the whites having now given up defending, Harry Kane made it 3-1 in the final minutes.

Bottom of the league i remain, and the only crumb of comfort was my two glorious nutmegs on Neil! 

A fairly close game up until the final 15 mins.
