It was a tough game. My team got off to a slow start but somehow got an early goal, which give us a hope that we could win the game or at least stay in contention. However whites equalised within 60 seconds to make it 1-1! I can't remember what happened next but it was 2-2 and we had done well to keep it level.

Suddenly it went dark as the lights had gone out at the end closest to Vauxhalls pitch. This gave whites the idea to swap ends, meaning that our goalie was in the dark side of the pitch which did cause genuine visibility issues! Second half of the game got off to a disastrous start when Richie back-passed the ball and was caught in possession by Gary who scored a goal to make it for 3-2. Then again after 5 minutes Dave Owens snuck around the back and scored to make it 4-3.

I could complain about the lighting being poor, or a total loss in concentration after we switched sides, or because we had our left back off the pitch (in reception seeing about the lights) but I won't. In balance we were lucky to be 2-2 at half time. We gave away two sloppy goals which is why they won the game. Good luck Neil in the next round.
